Better Days

If you're wondering why I didn't post yesterday, it's because yesterday was a truly awful day. The strap on my bag broke when I got to the subway in the morning, preventing me from getting coffee on the way to work and from being able to look like a normal person. I went on a search for a new bag during lunch - in the pouring rain. Luckily, I found something. But on the way home, my train rerouted and I had to walk over 10 blocks instead of my usual 2. I was not in a good mood.
Fortunately, today was way better. My wonderful godmother was in town and took me out to a fantastic dinner and we spent three hours catching up. Plus, in between work and meeting her I did a little, ahem, retail therapy and got a few things, and put a few things on my list of what I want for my birthday. And I wore one of my new striped dresses, which I love.

Dress: Forever 21, Sweater: H&M, Tights: Kohl's, Shoes: Aldo

I can't wait til it gets warm so I can wear this dress on its own, without all the other coverings. It's been gray and drizzly (and at times full on rainy though occasionally sunny and I did see a rainbow yesterday evening) and I'm just ready for it to be warm and sunny. But not hot. I'm not ready for hot.
