Prepidemic

I'm a day behind on outfits, but I'm ready to kick myself into high gear after my delicious lunch of leftover quiche. Did I mention that I'm on my way to becoming a domestic goddess? Because I am. Slowly but surely, I'm making my way to emulating Martha Stewart. My most recent step in this journey was Tuesday night when for dinner I made a spinach and gruyere quiche.

So tasty, if I do say so myself. Of course, the next step is to actually make the crust. Time constraints led me to buy the pre-made kind. Not that I have anything against pre-made. It's perfectly serviceable.
Anyhow, more recently:
Coat: Zara,Cardigan: Forever 21, Shirt: Ralph Lauren, Skirt, Tights & Socks: Target, Boots: Liz Claiborne

This coat was another one of my lucky finds from my shopping trip last Friday. I had recently seen a black watch tartan duffle coat from LL Bean that basically made me drool, but unfortunately it only comes in men's sizes. Fortunately while I was wandering around Zara, I spotted this beauty. With its camel color, plaid lining and deep hood, it's perfect for me. And even better, it was on sale for $40. When I got back to my apartment with it, I noticed that it almost matched the plaid of this skirt - and so an outfit was born. I feel like this outfit is very old school collegiate - it would look perfect if I were carrying a pile of books or wandering the stacks in the library.
