Monday Monday

Shirt: Old Navy, Jacket: LL Bean, Skirt: Target, Boots: Nordstrom

While I'm sure I should be trying to be a bit more original with my styling of this plaid skirt, I just can't resist dressing like a schoolgirl. I think it's because I am really a true prep at heart. Give me a polo shirt and a corduroy blazer over something more edgy any day.

Yesterday was a bit of a busy day - or at least busier than a normal Monday. Between classes I finished homework and after class I had to head to the bakery in town to pick up the cake my roommate's boyfriend bought for her for her birthday. I didn't mind the mission though - I got myself a special treat as well. Last night I finished Wives & Daughters for my 19th century British lit class, which I must say I enjoy far more than I thought I was going to. I noted that there was a BBC miniseries adaptation of the novel as an instant watch on Netflix, but today my professor strongly advised us to watch it, so I imagine that will be part of my next week or two. For now though, I'm studying for a math test and reading for another class and planning a birthday party for Thursday. Just a bit busy. But in two weeks I'll be headed for the airport to fly home for Thanksgiving and the thought of that keeps me powering through.
