Dreaming of warmer climes

I've been thinking about vacation again since the weather here is cold and a bit rainy. 40 degrees in April does not agree with my more delicate sensibilities. Then again, neither does almost 90 in April, so maybe I'm better off here than at home. I have more pictures from vacation to share and I thought I would go with some of the ones that showcase just how beautiful it was.

Our last morning on the Island, we had to get up early to start our drive, but before we hit the road we went to the beach to watch the sunrise. It was a slow process, but ultimately a gorgeous scene.

One of the places we went for dinner during the week had a pier overlooking the water that lies between South padre and the mainland of Texas. From there, we watched the sunset which was equally as gorgeous as the sunrise. It happened really quickly though, since the land blocked our view.

Don't worry, those aren't my beers, but doesn't that look like a quintessential beach vacation shot?
