Music Monday
I received a package last week from my sister which included four CDs she had burned for me. Drawing off of our love for the New Moon soundtrack, she sent me "The Resistance" by Muse, "Baby Darling Doll Face Honey" by Band of Skulls, "For Emma, Forever Ago" by Bon Iver and "Veckatimest" by Grizzly Bear. Muse was the only one of those bands that I had prolonged experience with - I started listening to Muse around my freshman year of high school and even saw them live my junior year of high school. The only exposure I had to the other bands was through the New Moon soundtrack. I wasn't let down at all. The Bon Iver disc may become my new quiet-time music. Sometimes I have periods where I just need to sit and listen to some sweet and soft tunes. Those are fairly difficult to come by in my collection of music and I have to put them in a playlist because leaving my iTunes on shuffle just isn't an option and I don't have many albums that fully fall into the soothing category. I haven't listened to the albums enough to develop any favorites yet, but I'm sure I will since I have lots of studying and flights coming up. Thanks Liz, for the CDs. Now back to American History...

Eeeks I'm OBSESSED with Bon Iver. It's almost kind of compulsive how often I listen to him.
