Girl Scout cookies are a real signifier that spring is coming for me. They're a late winter treat - it's almost as if they're saying, we know that winter is hard, but here's something to help you get through that last part of it. When I was younger I was a girl scout - from kindergarten to fifth grade. I was never the person who sold a whole lot of cookies but I really enjoyed eating them. Two boxes of Trefoils and two boxes of Thin Mints should get me through this last week before spring break and the beginning of spring quarter just fine.
My sister's box held more surprises than the one from my mom. Perhaps because I didn't even realize that it was coming until my sister sent me an e-mail letting me know that I shouldn't let work get in the way of things like checking my mail. My sister's box was full of joy. Homemade cookies and lindt chocolates in the shape of bugs and bees are helping me get through my last paper of the quarter.

And four (yes four!) new cds are providing the soundtrack for my final push to the end. I'll have to interrupt my musical series for a new cd post on Monday. I think deciding to write six pages in one day was a mistake, but I'm still working and if all fails, I've got tomorrow til 5 to turn this in.

Girl Scout cookies! Yuuuuuuuuum! The trefoils are so simple but so dang delicious!
