I am officially done with Winter Quarter and I could not be more ecstatic. I'm almost done with packing too! By now you know that I'm going to the beach after going home for a few days. But what am I bringing with me?
I always find it a little difficult to pack for vacations, especially short vacations. I seem to always overpack (who me?) but this time I'm trying to keep my suitcase relatively trim.
Above is just a sampling of what I'll be bringing - comfy dresses and skirts plus sandals and a nice hat for the beach. I've also got a bathing suit (naturally) and some boring shirts and shorts. I try to cover every possibility - day at the beach? shirt, skirt and sandals plus bathing suit and hat. Chilly night? Sweater + skirt or shorts, nicer sandals. Driving down through Texas? Dress + sandals.
Sure, I've got more than enough for the amount of time I'll be there, but that's the way I like it. I like having options in case I throw my idea of what I'm going to wear out the window. I'll try to post during actual Spring Break so you can see what comes of these pieces that have been tossed into my suitcase.
Other than clothes, I'm packing pretty light. I don't wear much makeup anyway, but at the beach it's even less necessary. Here's my makeup pouch for the trip (toiletries like moisturizer and deodorant go elsewhere)
Contents: Two lip glosses, one small eyeshadow palate, two small eyeliners, two brushes and waterproof mascara. All in one small bag and all I need.
I'm kind of impressed with myself on this one - I'm actually packing kind of light for once.

You should do more posts with multiple pictures. It's interesting to see how you've used the same pieces in different outfits, like one of those "maximize your wardrobe" spreads in a ladymag.
