I got the blues

The title of this post comes from the color of my sweater and headband obviously, but also those Kraft macaroni and cheese commercials with little kids that they used to show. I just remember at the end of those commercials some cute kid with a big smile would sing "I got the blues" about his macaroni and cheese that came out of a box. We never really ate Kraft macaroni and cheese in my house (it was all about the Annie's) but I do remember those commercials pretty vividly. And those ones with the dinosaur.
Sweater: Old Navy, skirt: Vineyard Vines, tights: We Love Colors, Boots: Ugg
I took these pictures really quickly because the first time I went downstairs there were people there and the second time I thought I could hear footsteps. It makes for very stressful photo taking. My day however, was not stressful - I registered for the last of my classes for next quarter and ended up with free Thursdays and almost-free Tuesdays which I hope I can be productive with - maybe I'll work on the blog more. This skirt is another one I hadn't worn in a while that needed some love. And this skirt deserves the love since it cost me so much. It, along with my Lilly Pulitzer vest, was my big purchase at the end of the summer from hell when I worked as a hostess. You can probably tell that I didn't like the job that much, but it did finance a good deal of clothing.

I mentioned that when I'm inside I wear my boots untied - it's just more comfy that way when I don't have to worry about falling on ice. I thought I'd give a nice close-up of them. I was going to actually take one while in the basement, but because of the ominous noises, I instead just present a close-up from the first picture.
