Happy Valentine's Day, pt. II

I love Valentine's Day, so I had to dress the part. Pink tights, pink polka dot scarf as a belt, red shoes, and a red headband made the outfit perfect.

I like being festive and Valentine's Day is no exception. I even painted my nails for the occasion.
I threw in the pink on my pinkies for a little bit of fun.
Some people may wonder why I love Valentine's Day so much. Here's why: when I was growing up, my favorite part of Valentine's Day, even more than the parties in school and the sweets was seeing how much my parents love each other. Even though they show it every other day of the year, it seemed even more special every Valentine's Day when without fail my dad would send my mother a beautiful bouquet of flowers, usually roses, and they would go out to dinner. I love Valentine's Day because I believe in love. It exists in my family between my mom and dad, and among all of us. I'm still young, so it doesn't really worry me that I've never had a boyfriend. I've had wonderful friends and that's good enough for me. I may start to worry as I get older, but I know that I'll remain optimistic because growing up in my house showed me that love really does exist. Valentine's Day is an outpouring of love, and it shouldn't just be about the romantic kind. I made Valentine's for my friends which made me happy and made them happy. I think Valentine's is about showing people you love them, in whatever way that is. And that's why I love Valentine's Day.
