Time to Waste

I'm a huge procrastinator. If I have time to waste, then I will waste it. I work a lot more efficiently if I'm on some sort of deadline or if I have limited time - so days when I work at the newspaper are better for me, even though I complain about going. I thought I'd share some things that I do when I'm bored/procrastinating

1. Read #groupthink on Jezebel. I spend a lot of my time online reading Jezebel, and when I'm being particularly unproductive I just read all the threads in groupthink. A couple days ago I came across a tutorial and did this to my hair:It's pretty messy, but it's a hairbow. A bow made out of hair, a la Lady Gaga.

2. I decorate things with glitter glue. I received some gorgeous glitter glue for Christmas, and took it out when I was bored. It's honestly the best glitter glue I've ever used, and the next time I'm in a Michael's I might get some more.
3. Read blogs. I read a lot of different blogs, as you can probably tell from my blog roll in the sidebar. Of course, there are also other blogs that aren't listed that I look at and then id I'm really bored I just follow random links in other peoples' blog rolls.

4. Take stupid pictures of myself. If I have time at night between when I finish my work and when I am too tired to function anymore, I'll try to decide what to wear the next day and take some pictures so I can see what it looks like, since I don't have a full length mirror in my room. I didn't crop these, so you get to see the clutter in my room.
5. Shop. My staples are ModCloth, Urban Outfitters, Forever 21 and a bunch of others (Gap, American Eagle, etc.) I'm always looking for new clothes even though I really shouldn't buy any. And I told myself I wasn't going to spend any more money in the near future (on clothes) but then I saw this skirt that looks so pretty and pastel-colored and Alice In Wonderland tea party appropriate... So, we'll see

6. The last thing I do when I'm really bored (other than play a million Sporcle quizzes) is of course, writing here. Can you tell that I was putting off work while doing this? In my defense, I don't have that much work tonight and I'll be much more focused after I get back from copy editing.
