One of my favorite things about the holidays is that I get to make a list of things I'd love to get. It doesn't really matter if I get them or not, but it just gives me the chance to dream about what I would get myself if money were no option. I love reading online gift guides as well. Half the time, there's nothing that strikes me, or the gift guide as a whole is pretty useless, but usually I can find a few gems. The picture above is from J. Crew, which I think has one of the best gift guides I've seen so far. It may be the pretty colors that draws me in, or maybe it's the wool ballet flats and sparkly clutches. Either way, I keep checking back to look at things that I probably won't ask for, but like to keep in the back of my mind. I'll keep a tab of what I'm actually asking for though. This week, I'll focus on some literature I'd love to get my hands on.Wishlist Wednesday: Books
Downtown Owl
and
Eating the Dinosaur - both by Chuck Klosterman
I've said it before: I'm a huge Chuck Klosterman fan. He's one of the reasons that I decided that I wanted to go into journalism. I've read four of his other books, and I can't wait to read his first novel, as well as another book filled with his incites about pop culture, society, and the world that we live in.
The Teen Vogue Handbook
As someone who wants to be involved in the magazine world (and loves Teen Vogue) I figure it'll be a great asset to read this book. It's great that a handbook like this exists, and by one of my favorite publications too. How could I not want it?
