I love the holiday season. It's so full of light and love and fun. Even though I may not be excited about the impending cold (here in Evanston it's about to enter the 30s and stay there) but I am excited about snow and Christmas shopping and drinking hot chocolate and listening to Christmas carols. I've already started in on that last one. While I was home for Thanksgiving, my mom decided to take advantage of the fact that my sister and I were home and started decorating the house. While we've scaled back since my sister and I were little ones, we've still got the garland outside, the bows on the staircase, and all the nativity scenes present. I took some pictures while I was home - sure to be followed up when I'm back home and we get a tree. I feel like coming home to a decorated house next Friday will just make it that much better to be home.
