Inside (Wo)man

It's finally gotten really cold here. Yesterday it didn't even make it into the 30s. Today I had no reason to venture out so I spent the day inside, mostly curled up with my computer or with a book. I'm finishing up Moby Dick for my lit class, and though it's been slow-going thus far, I think I've finally figured out the best way for me to go about reading it: 30 pages at a time and then a break. I read 90 pages today, and I think I can get the other 120 I have left knocked out either tomorrow or in the next two days.
Since I didn't go anywhere today, I really just dressed for comfort. I haven't worn this skirt very many times - in fact, maybe only once before - mostly because the waistband is a little bigger than I'd like, which causes it to ride a little low. Nevertheless, it was great for lounging around, and the color palette felt wintry. At the beginning of each 30 pages I look like this:
And by the end (or middle...or three pages in) I look like this:

No more Melville please!

  1. See, for my lounging clothes I just bought a bunch of pajama pants at Target. In my opinion, hosiery is not involved in casual lounging.
